Natalie grew up in Kirkland, WA where she attended Juanita High School and enjoyed participating in soccer, gymnastics and track. She then went to the University of Washington where she earned a B.A. in Geography with an emphasis in Globalization, Health and Development, all while also completing the necessary prerequisites in order to pursue physical therapy.
It was her anatomy and physiology course that initially sparked her interest in the human body and the field of physical therapy. Through her undergraduate education Natalie had the opportunity to study in India where she shadowed physical therapists in various settings as well as learned about health care in a developing country. Throughout college Natalie also spent time volunteering at Seattle Children’s Hospital in their rehabilitation department and with LWPT as a shadow. After graduation Natalie continued at LWPT as an aide and administrative assistant.
In 2014, Natalie headed back to the classroom at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in order to earn a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. During Natalie’s PTA education she had the opportunity to complete clinical rotations at two outpatient physical therapy clinics and one skilled nursing facility. Through these rotations she treated patients with a wide range of conditions including joint replacements, sports injuries, disc pathologies, post CVA conditions, traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, and many other subacute conditions.
Outside of work Natalie enjoys hiking, skiing, playing soccer, traveling with her husband, and spending time with family and friends.
