Megan grew up in Sammamish, WA where she attended Skyline High school. She did her undergraduate studies at Western Washington University where she ran Track and Field for the Vikings for four years. She graduated in 2011 from WWU with a BS in Kinesiology. After graduating, she spent two years gaining more experience in the field of physical therapy at Lake Washington Physical Therapy as an aide. Megan also coached Skyline Track and Field distance team for two seasons. She then went on to further her education at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in August 2015. In her last term at University of St. Augustine, she took courses that specialized in manual therapy techniques of the spine and extremities. In 2018 she became certified in Manual Therapy (MTC) through Univ. of St. Augustine.
Megan is excited to be back in the Seattle area near family and friends and rejoining the LWPT team. During Megan’s education she had the opportunity to work in a variety of physical therapy settings. She spent time working at a skilled nursing facility in Newport Beach, CA, an outpatient orthopedic setting in Austin, TX and a school district in Visalia, CA. Megan enjoys working in the outpatient orthopedic setting and working with a wide range of pathologies and patients and helping each patient meet their goals.
Megan enjoys working with runners and athletes and getting them back to their respective sports. Megan’s main interests include running with her dog Reuben (who you will see in the clinic 2 days a week), hiking, biking and enjoying time with her Husband Zach, family & friends. She has completed 9 half marathons and hopes to do a full marathon in the near future. Megan also has a passion for traveling around the world. She has traveled all over Europe in College studying abroad, after Grad school as well as traveling the last few years with her Husband.
